Downtown Parking Environment

The Nashville Downtown Partnership recently surveyed the parking availability in the Central Business District. With an increasing number of major downtown developments (residential, commercial, Public Plaza, symphony hall, ball park and mixed-use development, new transit transfer station, new Federal courthouse) on the horizon, additional parking capacity will be required - and will be incorporated into these new developments. During construction, however, there will be a short-term reduction - as much as 9% of the total - in downtown parking spaces. The Partnership is committed to working with the public and private sectors to develop alternate solutions.

In its July, 2005, North America Parking Rate Survey, Colliers International reported trends in parking rates in 55 metropolitan areas including Nashville.
